Crafting Character Skillfully

Building character begins

in infancy and is a sure foundation for future success

Vision and Ethos

Our vision focuses on laying foundations for life's journey.

Just as a building relies on solid foundations, we recognise that the formative years of children's lives are the foundations from which they will experience life - they are the stepping stones into their schooling years and their adult life beyond it.

The foundation of living offered at Carmel Christian School is based upon:

  • Christian biblical morals - such as respect, diligence, compassion, forgiveness, kindness and honesty.

  • A love of learning - children are unique individuals, and they learn differently and at different rates. By tapping into their uniqueness, we believe that all children can form a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

  • Personal development - communication and language development, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development are crucial for building children's capacity to form relationships, learn and thrive.

We promote a Christian ethos. By example and direct teaching, we follow and promote the teachings of the Bible, which has respect, love, and honour of all people, regardless of age, gender, race, ability or orientation, at its heart.

Accordingly, our Early Years community is a place where children are encouraged to value and appreciate themselves and others as unique individuals.
