Carmel Christian School, as with all private schools, is visited regularly and inspected by Ofsted to ensure that standards are maintained and improvements are implemented for the benefit of the children.
In June 2021, we received an unannounced visit from two Ofsted inspectors who undertook a combined full inspection with a progress monitoring inspection.
We were pleased to receive a 'good' grade for all of the following categories:
Quality of Education
Behaviour and Attitudes
Early Years Provision
We know that this reflects the ongoing dedication and hard work of our staff and governors.
The inspectors also noted some improvements to strengthen our 'Leadership and Management'. We have utilised an action plan to address these areas of improvement. You can read Ofsted's full report here.
A subsequent unannounced progress monitoring inspection took place in March 2022, in which the Ofsted inspector highlighted the many positive improvements we have made to meet most of the standards. You can read their report here. We have compiled our own response to this report, which can be read here.
Parents who believe that we are is not meeting the required standards can contact Ofsted via their website.
