At Carmel Christian School, we promote a Christian ethos and a Christian worldview. By example and direct teaching, we follow and promote the teachings of Jesus, which has respect, love and honour of all people, regardless of age, gender, race, ability or orientation, at its heart.
Accordingly, the school community is a place where pupils are encouraged to value and appreciate themselves and others as unique individuals.
We recognise that the personal development of pupils - spiritually, morally, socially and culturally - plays a vital part in their ability to learn as well as achieve their full potential. Therefore, education at CCS provides pupils with opportunities to explore and develop their own values, beliefs, spiritual awareness, high standards of personal behaviour, a positive caring attitude towards other people, an understanding of their social and cultural traditions, and an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures.
Whilst we are unashamedly a Christian school, the diversity of other spiritual traditions is explored, as pupils are given access to alternative views.
