History

Founded as a provider of Accelerated Christian Education in 1997, we began to operate with an intake of just three children in the house of one of the parents.

When the school became registered in 2000, we took as our premises part of an industrial unit (Unit D), in Totterdown, Bristol, already occupied by Carmel Christian Centre.

The years we spent at Unit D were productive and fruitful. Numbers began to increase. and we sent students not only to the European Student Convention but also to the International Student Convention in America. We graduated our three original students, all of whom went to Carmel Bible Institute and then two of them continued onto university,

In 2003, Carmel Christian Centre moved from Unit D to another industrial unit on the outskirts of Bristol. The school was then set up with the distinct learning centres that we know today.

Through our years of operation, we have been inspected on numerous occasions by ACE and OFSTED inspectors alike and have worked hard to improve wherever necessary.

Mr Jaap van Wyk heads up the team of staff, all of whom are dedicated to their work and committed to the success of each child.

It has been our pride and pleasure to see graduates of Carmel Christian School progress in life to careers as healthcare professionals, to enrol in courses of further and higher education, to live and work abroad and to become successful spouses and parents. We believe that the foundation they gained at our school is second to none as preparation for a life of excellence.
