History

Founded as a provider of Accelerated Christian Education in 1997, we began to operate with an intake of just three children in the house of one of the parents.

When the school became registered in 2000 we took as our premises part of an industrial unit (Unit D), in Totterdown, Bristol, already occupied by Carmel Christian Centre.

The years we spent at Unit D were productive and fruitful. The numbers on roll began to swell and we sent students not only to the European Student Convention, but also on to the International Student Convention in America. We graduated our three original students, all of whom went to Bible School and then two continued to university,

In 2003 Carmel Christian Centre moved from Unit D to another industrial unit on the outskirts of Bristol. The school was then set up with the four distinct learning centres that we know today.

Through our years of operation we have been inspected on numerous occasions by ACE and OFSTED inspectors alike and have worked hard to improve wherever necessary.

Mr Jaap Van Wyk heads up a staffing body who are dedicated to their work and committed to the success of each individual child.

It has been our pride and pleasure to see students who were once on roll at Carmel Christian School progress in life to careers as health care professionals, to enrol in courses of further and higher education, to live and work abroad and to become successful spouses and parents. We believe that the foundation that they have gained at our school is second to none as preparation for a life of excellence.
